Hi

I withdrew my application and sent a letter to USCIS about 2 months ago. A Month ago IO informed me that they withdrew my application but I haven't received any acknowledgment till now. This is driving me crazy. Is this Normal about mail?

It may take several months to receive a written acknowledgment. Schedule an Infopass and ask to see if they have it in their records yet.

If you withdrew the application, what is the point of being worried?

At worst it will be they fail to withdraw and send you an interview letter.

That was going to be my question. Unless, they're giving you your money back, there's no need to worry. According to USCIS they usually consider your application withdrawn/abandoned if you don't show up for appointments (FP, interview etc.).

Hi All,

They have already cancelled my Interview also. Now I am in limbo. I had a property issue back in my home country which I need to loose If I become USC which prompted me to withdraw and My attorney was saying I would win the case before end of next month. I plan to reapply later part of the year. But now my concern is without knowing the status of current application, How can I file a new one.

If I were to withdraw, I would wait to pass the interview and then hold on
oath as much as possible. But I believe some can have a reason not to do this. If one is only one step away from citizenship, the attemptation is too strong to give it up. So if you don't want citizenship and you already started the process, it make sense to stop the process early. But there is no need
to worry about it.

Ok that makes sense now. I guess you shouldn't worry too much if they cancelled your interview, I think you're good but I understand that you would want an official letter stating so.
