Planning for two subsequent visits on Visitor Visa

Hi, I need some urgent help.

My wife is pregnant and her parents are planning to visit us. They have 10 years multiple entry visa.

They are planning to come on mid July for 3 months and go back on mid October. Then they want to come again by end of December for another 3 to 4 months. Will there be any problem since they will come back within 2.5 months after their return? Please advice.

It can go either way. No one can speculate that.

Thanks for the reply.
I do not want to take chance for their second trip. If they stay only for only 2 months and go back by mid of September, what would be the safest time to come back without having risk of getting denied at POE?

Ideally, the gap between the two visits should be greater than the duration of the two visits added together. Reason being, when all three time periods are then compared, 1st visit, gap between visits and 2nd visit, a genuine visitor should have spent more than 50% of that time outside the US.
