L1 B Extension ( Urgent Help Needed)

Hi

My current L1 Visa expires in Sep 2009. I came back to US last month after a India trip.My current I-94 Expires on Aug-2010.

I would like to go to India again in Nov 2009 for my marriage. My employer says they cant apply for L extension as I-94 does not expire in the next 6 months.

I would like to extend my current L visa. My employer suggests me to go to MSP port of entry to seek the modification of my I-94 so that it expires in Sep2009.

Can any of you know if I can to airport immigration officer and request for modification I-94 to expire in Sep 2009. Also is there any other way of getting the I94 modified ?

Any help on this would be really great for me.

Hi,

I dont have any I-797. My petition is I-129S, nonimmigrant Petition based on Blanket L petition.
The last date of intennted employment on this I-129S is 09/15/2009.

Now please advice.

It seems the officer at the POE failed to match your I-94's expiry date to your I-129S date. Regardless, your employer can file for an extension based on the I-129S date of 09/15/2009. There should be no dependency on the date on your I-94.
