There might be some other reasons along with it or arrest or something, read this pdf document, page 25 at the bottom left corner of M476.pdf for clear directions about traffic tickets. Unless the traffic tickets are related to Drug or alcohol you don't even need to submit the evidence for traffic tickets & Incidents that didn't involve actual arrest if the only penalty was less than $500.

You're probably referring to an isolated incident that occurred to poster nyc newbie last year. However, the poster never came back to provide more details about his/her case so it's an anecdotal experience.

The severity of traffic tickets is defined by the amount fine you pay, It is clearly mentioned in the instructions, you don't even need to mention it on the N-400 if the fine is less than $ 500.
That's incorrect. The instructions state that you don't have to provide documentation for traffic tickets under $500, not that you don't have to disclose them outright.

wanted to follow up on my question.
I had my interview 2 weeks ago,
no questions about these tickets at all
only things interviewer asked was "did u even had to go to court for these tickets?"
so I passed the citizenship test
waiting for the cermony date by mail

the rest are tickets during driving my taxi,
all of the rest are taxi cab related tickets like
3 Misdemanors tickets for improper trip sheet
2 tickets for expired and improper Public Veichle licence
2 taxi cab violations ticket
all these tickets were dismissed because the offeicers didn't show up in court
I smell NYC TLC..... am I correct?
