how to find the information in INS?

hello!
I filed immigration for my kids ( over 21, single) August 2005. I was green cardholder that time.
got letter from INs, that they recieved my application.
I became citizen last year and sent letter to Ins asking hem to move my kids to another category (for kids of citizens).
and no response at all from ins this time
what shall i do to find out what is going on?:eek:

When you get the letter from INS, now is USCIS, there's should be an application # on the letter. You can use that # to track your status on the USCIS website. If your application has been upgraded, it should show the updated status.
