L1 B to H1 - then back to L1 B Renewal

Hi ,

I am on L1 - B . Visa valid till May 2009 . I got my H1 approved in 2008 but i have not joined that consualtant since oct 1 2008. I went back to india in dec 2008 and came back in jan 2009 on L1 b visa and didn't get my h1 b stamped .

My L1-b is submitted for renewal .

1. Will it create any issue in getting my VISA renewed since i have a H1 approved ?

2. My consultant charged me 3000 USD for processing my H1 . If i want to get my H1 cancelled , can i claim that money back from him ?

3. Should I get my H1 cancelled or i can keep it and get my L1 B renewed for another two years .

A H1B visa applicant is permitted to legally pay only a few fees. Some are nonrefundable; others are refundable only if the application was not selected in the lottery. Any additional money you paid to the sponsor was done inapproriately. You are likely out of your $3000. It was really siupid of you to pay for a visa after so many forum posts have warned against doing so.
