Could I be denied entry and what happens if I am???

I have multiple entry B2 visa for one year. My I-94 was given for a stay of 6 months. A week before it expires I am scheduled to fly from US to Europe and stay there for 3 weeks. Because my B2 visa will not be expired for another 4 months I want to reenter the US for another three months (will have return ticket purchased of course). I heard rumors I may be denied entry.
Could that happen?
If it happens what do I do? (How do I leave the airport - who pays for the ticket and where will I be going)?

p.s. I am a teacher and have taken a sabbatical of one year to travel the world but love the US and want to travel more here rather than go back to Europe as I planned initially. I have to go back to work at the end of sabbatical anyway so no intention to live here. Would it help if I have proof that need to go back to work then?

Could you clarify? My original flight is from India and I will have a ticket back to India (but three months away). But I will be flying to visit Israel and then will be entering back to the US. So my ticket to India will be used?

At whose expense? If I boarded in Israel but I don't have a return ticket to Israel (I have a ticket to India instead) what's going to happen?

If you have entry documents for India, then you might be sent back to India. No one can specualte exactly what will happen.
