Questions about applying for GC for my wife?

I'm a new user and would like to thank everyone for the wonderful information I have obtained from reading all your posts. Here is my situation....

My wife is from Canada and came to visit the US on April 2007. When she crossed the border she didn't receive a visa or even a stamp on her passport. She was granted a 6 month stay in the US but has never left and is currently living with myself. We have been looking into the the immigration process for quite some time but don't really know where to start. We know we need to send the I-130 and get approved but since she has overstayed and is currently living here we're not really sure what to do.

I appreciate all your help.

Thanks,
James

She'll need to file the I-130/485/765/131 and G-325. She'll need evidence that she was admitted legally to the US. Did she enter by air or by land?

She entered by land but didn't receive any documentation stating so. When I went to Canada they posted it in my passport but she did get anything. She was questioned and finger printed so they should have documentation that she entered legally.

Thanks,

James

She was questioned and finger printed so they should have documentation that she entered legally.

I'd submit a notarized statement from her saying that she was legally admitted to the US on a certain date at the place she entered the US. That should be sufficient.

So to get everything started we need to send the I-130, G-325, and the I-485? That's what it sounds like from everything else I have been reading or does everything go at once. Like I said before I'm not really sure of the steps to take but I appreciate all you help.

Thanks,

James
