Re-entry with spouse who is coming after 2 years

My mother-in-law came alone in September. She is leaving in March. She wants to come back again in May with my father-in-law. My father-in-law could not visit as he had to take care of some legal matters. My FIL last visit was in Oct 2006.

My MIL may not get entry as she was here for 6 months about 2 months back. But what about my FIL? Will he be denied entry too?

Poor planning on your MIL's part may create entry problems or a shortened authorized visit. FIL is not likely to be affected. It was poor judgment for her to visit when she knew she would be visiting soon with FIL. Please do not say she was needed to babysit as that would mean that she worked illegally.

All depends on the admitting officer. His/her discretionary powers will decide what the outcome will be.
