Now down to physical details of actuallying sending application package

I can send my application now and I am planning to send package out this weekend. My questions are silly but I want to make sure I am right.

In my case, I only need to send in 4 items.

(1) filled and signed N400 form
(2) Copies of both sides of my green card
(3) a check of $675
(4) Two passport photos

Now silly question about each items

(1) N-400 form.

I filled the form. The instruction says answer all questions fully and accurately. State that an item is not aplicable with "N/A". But I leave many non-application places blank like full middle name because I don't have a middle name and I don't want to fill "N/A". Is it OK.

(2) Passport photos. The instruction say write name and A# on the back
in pencil. So it has to be pencils and can not be ballpoint pen, right?

(3) Check.

Write $675 amount. Pay order to U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Write Name and A# on teh memo line. Sign it

(4) Copies of Green card. Can I copy both sides into one page? or I need to
make two copies, one for each side of my greencard?

Then. is it OK if I just clip all N-400 pages together. Clip green card copies together. Keep the packet that contain two passport photoes. I'll place
the check on top of my N-400 form.

Finally, I will use FedEx. It is OK, right? and If I use FedEx and I live on the east coast, the mailing address is:

USCIS
Attn:N-400
2501 S State Hwy 121, Bldg. #4
Lweisville, TX 75067

And may I demand a signed return slip from USCIS at the above address?
 
1. It's OK for the middle name.
2. Yes.
3. Yes.
4. I made copies on two different pages. Use a paper-clip to put them together. I chose USPS with Delivery Confirmation and it got there within 2 days. Yes you can send it as certified or express mail, but there's a different address for that now.
 
1. You say you have many blank spaces, the middle name is probably not an issue, but the reason for putting N/A is to show that you have read the form thoroughly and do not have info to give.
Do not leave a lot of blank spaces! Get going with the N/A's

So If I don't have a prior marriage, I have to put down N/A for all those boxed
intended for prior spouses?

and I also need to put down N/A for a list of organization if I check No to the question "Ever been a member of any organization etc"?
 
Not using N/A in boxes that don't apply to you is not going to cause any issues with the application. I don't see why it would be an issue since the IO goes over the questions with you at interview anyway. Case in point: I didn't use N/A and my application was fine.

So what do I expect next? A notice of action from USCIS
that gives me a priority date and a case number?

Now here comes paranoid part: what If I don't get such
letter for a long time? and my check remian uncahsed for a long time?
The letter could be lost in mail
or the USCIS lost my application in processing.

It depends what you consider "long".
