Hello All,
This is the first time me and wife used AP to re-enter USA. So my I-94 and passport now have a stamp "Paroled".
One thing that I do not get about the stamp is, its says:
Paroled Until: Jan 2010 and Purpose "AOS" and date and location and all.

So my questions is what does it mean by "paroled Until Jan 2010" so I cannot stay longer than that ? or what does it actually it means ? I am will applying soon to renew my and wife's AP.

Please let me know, thanks in advance

For you has no meaning, you will stay legally till a decision will be taken in your pending I485 (I guess this is the expiration date of your AP)

Thanks mmed for the reply.

I think the expiration date on my AP is 31 Jan 2009, since the sentence on AP says if this original document is presented on or before 31st Jan 2009 the person is allowed to re-enter.

But I am glad it does not affect my stay here.

Thanks again

It is standard procedure to give 1 year on the I-94. If you have a pending I-485, that one year doesn't matter to you, except in some remote complicated scenarios where you apply for a second I-485.
