Question about Wife's eligibility for N400

Hi All,
I became citizen about a year ago. My wife has her GC for about 4 yrs now. Some one told me that you can file for her citizenship after only 3 years if the spouse is a citizen and dont have to wait for 5 yrs before becoming eligible. I read up online but dont have a clear picture if she can apply for citizenship or not. Please let me know if you have any idea.

She cannot. She could apply after less than 5 years if she was married to a US citizen for 3 years as a Permanent Resident. Since she has not been married to a US citizen for three years (only one) she cannot.
