Citizenship based on father.

Hello,

I recently registered here to ask a question. First of all, I tried calling USCIS but there is no way to talk to a customer service rep just for "general inquiries." If anyone know how to do that please inform me I will be much obliged.

Second I would please like to know if I can claim citizenship based on my father. Me, my father and my mother came to the United States on the same date and are now eligible for citizenship. My father has applied for naturalization and wants me to apply as well. I am 25 years old. Can I still use my green card and my father's Naturalization certificate, when it arrives, to apply for a US Passport or do I have to fill out my own N-400? Also can I apply for the Passport as soon as my father's Naturalization certificate arrives or do I have to wait for his passport to arrive?

Also just to be very clear can I just use my father's Naturalization certificate to apply for a passport, if I can even do that, or do I need both my father's and mother's? Since they both aren't citizens and neither am I.

You will have to apply N-400 for yourself. You can apply when you complete 5 years as a green card holder living in US. Your parents' citizenship application has nothing to do with it.

You can only derive citizenship from your parents if you are under 18 years of age. Since you're 25, you have to file your own N-400.
