second interview after NC

Hi,
I got questions for everyone. Did anyone receive second interview letter after two yrs on name check? I applied my Citizenship on 12/05 and got first interview in 5/06 and I passed the interview. During the interview, I was told that I was in NC process. In 6/08, I got my second FP and right after that I got my second IL(8/22/08). I just need to know what this mean and do I have to bring everything as I did first time? Do I have to pass civil questions again? Anyone has similar situation? Any suggestions? Thanks.

The second interview after second FP is just to go over your case with you one more time to see if anything has changed in your circumstances. Consider it a good sign and your last step to oath.

There were some people on this forum who were called for a second interview. It is important to know that you do not have to go - if USCIS wants to follow up with the second interview, they are obliged to conduct it within 60 days after the first one. So if you passed your interview long time ago, and your NC is done, you might decline a second interview and request to be naturalized.

Second interview after FP VS filing lawsuit and refusing = you do the math ;)

It is obviously one's personal decision whether to agree to a second interview or not after the clock had run out. But, IMHO, one has nothing to gain by attending a second interview if you already passed the first one, and some people on this forum had run into trouble during the second interview.

As for filing a lawsuit, you might not even have to do it - a well written letter spelling out reasons for declining a second interview might suffice.

It's your call !!! As BOB stated, you have two options.
My personal opinion, go to the interview and get it over with !
You'll probably be given the oath date right away. Who knows ???

As Billy Joel sings it...... Keep the faith !!!
