And as of now nothing!!! What can I do??? I had fingerprints taken in February and as of now I haven't hear from them? What do I do I know other cases that are approved already and they applied in January aswell
Any sugestions???

Don't mean to be rude you are way way within the normal processing time. The deluge of applications received before the fee increase has increased the processing time significantly. Alot of people have waited years for their GC. Your wait at the moment is only eight months. I know a few people who got their GC approved in three months sometime early last year but not lately.

I am assuming you have already got asylum. So why do you have to worry about work permits. To get employment all you need is an unrestricted social security card and a Goverment issued ID like a driver's license. If you don't have either, go to the Social security office or the DMV. If you follow USCIS guidelines, you will have to deal with RTD or RP till you get US citizenship. So my recommendation is stop stressing and enjoy life. If it gets outside the processing time, without a doubt call the USCIS. In the meantime, call the USCIS around once a month and try to get an update on how your case is proceeding.

Well I can see there are many cases filed in January and are cleared as of July, and in my case is August and there wasn't even a LUD but good news!!!

I emailed them and wrote all kinds of complains like the unfairnes of the new fee schedule that was based on raising prices to make things better and faster!!!! And as of now we only see huge backlogs on our RTD's or other aplications, and GUESS WHAT????

They indeed looked at my case and after that nasty email I sent them now there's a LUD on my case as of 08-07-2008 HA!!!!!! SEE it is worth it to SPEAK UP. What if never send that email? my case was going to be sleeping there foerever???

SO the new update says that they mailed me RFE and I should respond to it in order to approve it!! I HOPE this is good news and my green card is closer than ever!

Thank you guys and if you see that your case is just sleeping SPEAK up for me 8 months was enough of waiting I understand other people wait for years but I had to pay under the new fee schedule based on (FASTER and better USCIS) BS!@!!!

I've also applied for my I-485 in March and since then no LUD, can you tell me what address did u sent the email to and If possible you can post or send me the format you have used in your email.Btw my case is in nebraska service center.Ty and I hope I hear a good news as well.
