Belarussian Passport problem

Hi,
I have this problem.
Last year I was 25 and my belorussian passport expired. I'm on H1B here LEGALLY working....I extended it for 2 years. Next year it is expiring again. Apparently we can not extend it more than one time here. So even if i'm legally working here I can not extend my passport. What to do??? I don't want to go home for that - i'm scared that if i change passport i will not get visa. Plus they just kicked out US Embassy from the country.
AS an H1B holder can you get any kind of US travel document? I didn't realize they extend it for 2 years only.That's just wrong! Although mine expired this year and I am not gonna renew it.
I dont know what to do...Do you know anyone why had the same problem? Is the any way around????

Have you tried to contact the consulate in NYC? There should be someone in there. They recalled the ambassador but they didn't shut the mission completelly down.
