I'm about to file i-864 for my nephew, I'm USC and my income way above required minimum.
My nephew is married to USC and applying for GC.
He found a helper for paperwork preparation who claims doing it for more than 20 years.
This helper insists that I should provide all assets evidences including all accounts and properties even though instructions are very clear and I'm entitled to submit i-864ez with only proof of income.
I'm quite sure that our helper is wrong, but by reading FAQ on USCIS site I found this and it makes me uncertain:
Assets
When the sponsor’s income alone meets the minimum Federal poverty guideline income requirement, the sponsor generally will not need to count assets. However, the consular officer may request evidence of assets and liabilities, as necessary to determine eligibility.
What is this last sentence mean? Should I provide assets evidences for the interview in case officer will ask for it?
