Oath Ceremony is also called Oath Hearing

I went for info pass and the representative told me my file is sent to local office for Oath hearing ceremony scheduling. I did not clarify why it is called hearing because she was already in bad mood for some reason, I thought it is just Oath ceremony. The word hearing made me nervous.

Please let me know if Oath ceremony is also called Oath hearing. Thanks

You will be called for final interview (same thing as oath hearing). You will be asked before taking an oath in a ceremony with questions following:

1) have you travelled after interview?
2) have you been citied after interview?
3) have you been married after interview?
4) have you registered to vote after interview?
ETC

Initial interview = interview, exams
Final interview = oath hearing and swearing-in ceremony

I would say it s called a hearing since it is being held in front of a Judge

I apologize. just that I can't remember questions on the oath form. The point is to explain what the oath hearing means.
