Today after a beautiful ceremony I finally became a US citizen. There were 49 applicants from 26 countries, one person was a no show. The entire process from application to oath has been quite smooth and straight forward. Most of the details have been covered by others on this forum in great detail. I am very grateful to the wonderful and knowledgeable members of this forum who have helped solve many misteries and made the gruesome process a breeze.

To many of you who applied at the same time as me, and are still waiting, Best of luck, hang in there, there are many variables, if there is delay at one stage there will be faster processing at another.

If I can answer any questions, please post them under this thread, I'll check periodically for another week and be glad to answer them.

Congratulations lextran..nice to see that you're done:)

Congrats! It was a beautiful day today for an oath ceremony.

My husband is still waiting for oath. He has an infopass scheduled on June 9th, it will be 95 days since interview. They did not have his file at the interview and said he would receive a notice in the mail within 3-4 months.

Thnx Bob, for last several months I've thought of you, Vorpal and a few others as my class fellows, the kind of out spoken ones, I wish you all the very best, and believe me the agony of waiting is not all that bad. Now that it's over I am gonna have to look for something to keep me entertained.

It was indeed, only if I did'nt have to rush back to work, I would have enjoyed it a bit more. Best of luck to your hubby, the next oath for KY is in Covington on June 27.
