Hi,

I have a job offer from another company that the one that has sponsored my TN, so I would like to know what would be the fastest and best approach to make the change in order to start to work for the new employer asap.

Hey, nelsona.

Thank you for your response.

I have another question, does the new employer has to file something with the immigration office apart of giving me the job offer letter?

Thank you for your help.

I already have the letter from my new employer and I'm going to the border in Detroit-Windsor to file the new TN.

Do you have some tips regarding how to approach this process?

I'm asking this because this is the first time that I make this change and I'm kind of worried about it (denial, CBP picky guards, you know).

Is your TN straight forward? ie Engineer doing engineering work? Or is it something that has to be tweaked (like Management Consultant)

Really??

Man, now I'm worried!!

If I were u, I would go to one of the Bridges in Buffalo. I went to Niagara Falls for my 1st TN....easy as apple pie...

But when I was moving to US via Detroit, we (wifey & I) got hassled big time by a male officer...i.e. why was wifey coming to US if the stay was temporary?...we were rescued by a female officer who had noticed that wifey was preggers, and she went behind closed door, where a senior officer stepped in to "look" into our paperwork, and a few minutes later wifey was approved.

Also,

with the car industry in total upheaval, and being so close to Detroit, in those officer's mind's, they will feel you are taking the job of an American - it's a whole different world.

You would be better off telling them that you were there to show the Detroit City council how they could increase their tax revenues by having strip clubs like the ones in Windsor - you'd probably get a better reception.
