Disqualifying diseases

I know AIDS will definately disqualify one from getting the visa. But what about the other diseases in the list, would you be disqualified if any one is detected? Dont be surprised I ask this because it is better to avoid wasting money because of a disease like mumps. Please let me know if any of the other diseases can do a harm.

diseases that are still contagious and you didn't get immunity after having it - HIV, AIDS, hepatitis, etc.

(i) who is determined (in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services) to have a communicable disease of public health significance, which shall include infection with the etiologic agent for acquired immune deficiency syndrome

Thanks so much LucyMO. I was more interested in the hepatitis B stuff. The answers on yahoo are divided on the hepatitis B and visa issue. Someone even talked about "class A medical notification". Most gave the link you have provided but with varied interpretations. Sorry it is not possible to provide the link as I use a cellphone. All the same, I wish someone who had a visa despite the disease can give me a bit of assurance.
