Biometric Changes For Re-entry Permits (I-131)

Folks-

For past 5 years my 485 is pending. I've been staying outside USA for
past 3 yrs and renewing my AP (I-131).

Per new rules I need to get my FP done as part of AP application. If I apply for AP and go outside US there is way I can appear for AP Finger printing.

No i guees FP is only for refugee travel documents. They apply it at border post or Consulate

Article says

"The instructions include changes, which will become effective March 5, 2008, that require applicants for re-entry permits and refugee travel documents to provide biometrics (e.g., fingerprints and photographs) at a USCIS Application Support Centers (ASC) for background and security checks and requirements for secure travel and entry documents containing biometric identifiers"

Yup, but if you go outside the US between AP application and approval the AP isn't valid. Sounds like your situation.
