Can recommended approval asylee get SS card?

Can someone who just got recommended approval for asylum apply and get unrestricted social security card?

It says in the approval letter he can apply for EAD but doesn't say about social security card or whether restricted or unrestricted SS card.
He can't go apply for refugee federal benefit with this recommended approval letter?

When one might expect final approval? It will be eventually mailed right?

He had fingeprint taken months ago so maybe it will be done within less then few months.

the asylum office is waiting for fingerprint report or what?

He is new to US and he doesn't have any criminal record or arrest, any chance of getting his case denied later?

No--no unrestricted SS card or refugee benefit until the final grant is issued. He is still an asylum applicant, with only two differences: (a) he knows that he is heading toward approval and (b) he can get an EAD.

Sorry--the time it takes to get final approval varies a lot--could be a few weeks to a few years. No way to tell. Most people get it within a few months but there are many outliers.

Yes the final decision will be served by mail.

No one can work legally without an SS card. People demand SS card fr work.

May be he can get unrestricted ss card this time?
 
If he doesn't have a SSC at all, then he can apply for one, but it will be restricted. It will say that he is not allowed to work in U.S. without DHS authorization... and that's what EAD is - Empoyment Authorization Document issued by DHS.

I said "no unrestricted social security card." He will get a card with a stamp saying valid for work with DHS permission only (I am paraphrasing).
 
Yeah thankful is right, I have EAD and apply SS Card. It state, "Valid for work only with DHS authorization. btw, thank you so much, thankful. i got the SS Card last week because of your (so) precious advise. May God blessed you.

Oh i forget to inform you guys, one of my friends got unrestricted SS (no stamp on his SS) even his asylum is pending.
