My wife's recipt date was January 4th and she got her FP done on Jan 23.
My recipt date was Dec 27 and I had my FP done on Jan 14th.

She got her interview letter today for April 09, 2008.

My PD is Novemebr 01 and her PD is January 2

I got nothing. Does that mean that I got stuck in Namecheck?

No, means you should sit down like everyone else does and your wife should toss a party for sneaking up the line.

If I get nothing by the end of the week, I will do an Infopass on Monday.

Vorpal, what do you think?

Give it another couple of weeks and schedule an InfoPass for the end of the month. You never know, your IL may arrive in a few days.

Few examples

Just keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best and pray ofcourse. My friend in Dallas, TX & his wife applied together in Sept of 2006. His wife was naturalized last year in March. My friend is still waiting for his name check to be cleared. His FP has already expired few months back & he has not heard anything.

Another friend of mine in San Jose, CA. Same kind of story. His wife was interviewed in January. He is still waiting for the IL.

I have already depressed you so you may like this one. Another friend in Austin, TX. His wife was interviewed back in Dec last year and my friend just had his interview on Feb 26th. They were 2 months apart.

Rather than kepeing my finger crossed, I went and spoke to an IO this morning. She delevered the bad news. My case was sent for FBI Name Check on December 27th. She wanted me to check back within 90 days.

not to discourage you but you may be stuck in name check

Hi tnsbangman,

I am not trying to discourage you but there is a possibility that you may be stuck in name check. Although it is possible that there may be just postal delay and you will get your letter in a couple of days. But if it exceeds say a month then the high probability that you will be stuck in name check.

Myself and wife applied on 04/2007 she got her IL in sept 2007 and was interviewed and became citizen in dec 2007. I contacted ombudsmans office, they opened an inquiry with uscis and I got a letter from them stating my "background check " is under process. Although that is not encouraging, it gives me some confort that my file hasnt got coffee spilled over it:)

anyways, be optimistic, hopefully you will receive it soon but if not be ready for wait. This being election year the republicans are in no hurry to speed up naturalization to churn out more democrats:)

Regards

You also should consider to not post messages with misleading subjects. It will not serve you any good on this board.
