I was approved on Dec 13th according to an IO i spoke with. I had called the 800 number to enquire about the status of my RTD application that I sent in 3 months ago, since I was planning to travel to Europe this Saturday, the rep connected me with an IO who wasn't helpful at all. So i just asked her about the status of my I-485 and she said it was approved, I was shocked to hear that.My initial disappointment for not getting my RTD in time to travel turned in to joy. I gave her my LIN again to reconfirm since I have not seen any updates on my case since April and she confirmed it. I called them again yesterday to verify whether it was so, and indeed it was,the SOBs at USCIS have finally approved my case. As of today,I still have not received any information written or via email.

Congrats on your approval. As far as online notification is concerned, if I am not wrong, you have to update your username and password every six months. The same happened to me.

Your wait is over. I cannot believe you had to wait over four years when others got their asylum based green cards much sooner. I have a feeling that I will wait for my asylum based green card at least that long because I am in name check hell since October 2005 and I don't think there is an end to it! I am from a middle eastern country and filed my I-485 in September 2005. Where are you from if you do not mind me asking? Thanks and congratulations and happy holidays.
