911 Call - No Arrest, No citation - Do I need an attorney

Chanscs

My wife and I had a dispute a couple of months back. 911 call was placed. Cop arrived at our house and spoke to us, gave us some advice (about 20 Mins) and asked us to seek counseling, then left. No Charges were filed, no arrest nothing.

Do I still need a attorney for the interview? (1st week of Nov07) If so, can anyone recommend a good attorney in the Sacramento area?

Any reply will be appreciated..

No don't worry about it. If you were hauled off to jail and booked that would be another story, but since there wasn't any charges, you are fine...

Thanks for the info guys. Do you think I still need to go the local post office to get some supporting documents in this regard.

Q 15 on N-400 form

No arrest, no charges,.....don't worry!!!!...be happy.

It did not happen as far as the N400 is concerned

Privateer,

If you refer to Q 15 (Part 10, Section D) on this N-400 form, it still asks you check "YES" regardless you were not even cited or arrested, isn't it. I am not trying to confuse anybody here, but technically the answer would be "YES" or "NO"

Taken literally, everybody would have to answer YES for that question. Every adult who hasn't spent their life in a coma has committed one crime or another that they were not arrested for, however obscure it might be. It's a stupid question, and they put it there to catch stupid people who would answer yes to it.

But even in this incident, if the poster is telling the truth (there was no physical force or intimidation, etc.) there was no crime. 911 was called, police came just in case there was a crime, found no crime, didn't take the wife or husband away because of an expectation that a crime would develop, and they left.
