H1 pending, I-94 expires soon

My H1 (extension) is pending and I-94 expires soon, do I go out of status? I know, with a pending H1 extension, I can work but not sure about the I-94 part? I got EAD so there won’t be a question of out of status but does my status will be changed to EAD automatically? Please advice!

-----------------------NO, why to use EAD if H1 extension is pending?. FYI EAD is not status EAD is for work. Pending I-485 gives you AOS pending status .
