GreatGuru Need Your advise

GreatGuru,

I would like to bring my father here to keep with me as he is alone in india (untill i stay in US) , i am GC holder (just recived it) and i have a small consulting company too.

My father has 10 years visitir visa but as you know for old people it is difficult to travel once in every 6 months.

Your advise really helps my future plans.

Until you become a US citizen, you cannot sponsor your father for permanent residence. His best bet is infrequent visits (twice a year tops) for a couple of months (two months tops) at a time.

It is the only way to bring him to the US. BTW, I just want to point out that you are not left without a solution to be together. You are free to return to India and reside with him together there. That may not be what you want, but you DO have a choice.
