Hi,
I have a TN visa. My wife is a Canadian Citizen.
I heard that the Canadian Citizen spouse and Canadian Citizen children do not need any visa to come and stay in the US.
Does this mean that my wife does not need any TD visa as well and she can legally stay in the US as long as I have a valid TN status.

your wife and child need the TD visa. remember that as canadians we are only allowed to visit US as a tourist and nothing more.

Your dependents do not need a TD visa, but they do need to request admission in TD status to stay with you. To do so, they'll need proof of your TN status (a copy of your I-94) and evidence of their relationship to you (marriage/birth certificates).

They could technically stay as visitors if they met the requirements, but their length of authorized stay would be shorter and they would need to prove significant ties to Canada.

If you are applying at the border - remember to have the originals of the marriage certificate and birth certificate for your dependents.

Also make a copy of everything in case the Officer wishes to keep the copy.
