I485 Vs. 180 days

As everyone knows after filing I485 you can move (switch job) to anywhere if you wish. Now can anyone tell me whether that is calendar days or 180 business days?

And what are the chances of getting GC middle of next year? How about AP, EAD? Any thoughts and/or suggestion would be really appreciated!

Thanks

It is calculated 180x calendar days from you I485 received Date (not the notice date where normally a week or weeks later).
Your new job must be the same or similar to your approved LC/I140.

Which queue are you in and what is your EB catergory? It plays a major role on your GC applications. Good luck.

What happens if you are laid off within 180 days of filing I485? One of my colleague is in this situation. Our company never revokes approved I140's.

1) Can he use his EAD and start working for a new company in a similar position?
2) Should he wait for the actual 180 days to get over before sending AC21 to USCIS?

Appreciate your help.
