Hi,
I have succesfully accelerated Name Check by
writing to First Lady.
My I-485 case was stuck in Name Check for over
a year. On anniversary of the NC I have sent a
letter to First Lady. The letter was forwarded
to FBI and they sent me response in the beginning
of July. The FBI response said that my Name Check
was "in process".
Today I have received "Welcome Notice sent" emails
for me and my dependents. I believe that the
approval was triggered by my letter to the First
Lady.
I have used the letter from this site
as a template. It is similar to template kept
by this mail group. I added my personal details
there and a timeline of everything I have done
so far to speed up the Name Check.
In addition to contacting First Lady, I have contacted
USCIS Ombudsman, initiated a few Service Requests
by calling USCIS 800 number, filed FOIPA request
with FBI, made several InfoPass visits and wrote
to my senator. Neither of this steps helped, except
it produced paperwork necessary for the WoM. I was
going to contact my congressmen and file WoM this
fall.
I will be hanging around here for a few weeks in case you
want to ask me about details. I wish all of you fastest
approval of your cases!
