Visa Number Availability

Cross Chargebility - Dubai (Place of Birth)
Labor Approved: 04/2006
I140:RD 05/2006, Approved: 01/2007
I485:RD 02/08/2007, AOS Pending
RFE on Birth: 4/3/2007, RFE replied: 6/3/07, Status: Case resumed 6/13
FP done on 3/16/07
EAD/AP approved until 04/2008

I took Infopass appointment today 07/27 8:30AM NewArk to check on my security clearance i.e Name check, FP check and ask for general info on my status

2 hr wait before your token is called..
Infopass officer was very polite and looked very diligent in reading my case notes and replied

Name check/FP check - All Security clearance completed
Case is pending due to visa number availability - New allocation will take place in Oct'07 after which case will be adjudicated or processed further. Nothing until then.

So, basically they are out of visa numbers - Keeping fingers crossed
Does it mean in Oct, there is likelihood for more GC to be approved for old cases based on PD or are they looking at I485 RD?

GCs are being issued based on PDs so you should be good in Oct when new visa numbers will become available, provided the eb3 Cat doesn't retrogress for your country before July 18, 2002.

If you're a pending EB case, your priority date is by definition NOT current right now. They're accepting new I-485s until August 17th, but there are no visa numbers for August.

I485 Approval Notice Received

9/6 LUD change on Welcome Letter which had ADIT processing instruction but actual Welcome Letter has no mention of that.
9/7 - Card Production Ordered
9/11 - Approval Notice Sent

I'm hoping to receive cards shortly too.

I wanted to wish everyone good luck and thank the efforts and great collaboration by many on this site to keep everyone informed about their sad/happy stories as it truly has benefited the masses in guiding them and be knowledgable of the vast changing scenarios.
