travelling on H1B when 485 is filed

Hi All,
I'm due to travel to India in Nov. this year. My 485 has been filed as the dates became current recently. Now can i travel on my H1B, as its valid of next year and is also stamped on my passport. Or is it that I need to take an advance parole in any case? Also its normally said, advance parole takes around 90 days to come, which means i might not get AP before leaving for India, so what's the other alternative if I have to travel.

I am very confuse right now, so please guide me thru.

You can travel using your H-1B.

Without AP? What then is the purpose of the AP? Is that only when you advance to EAD?
