Unbelievable, I Got Expedited Rp In 3 Weeks

i just receieved my new RP BY MAIL THIS MORNING, i was surprised
because i did not receieve any approval email,


i applied for expedited RP AT THE END OF JUNE, I RECEIVED A NOTICE RECEIPT JULY 2,

ALL I DID JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING THE EXPEDITED RTD
WHICH WRITTEN BY WANTMYGCNOW THREAD AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE,

got my RTD in two weeks

I got a receipt date of July 9th and approved on July 18th and received my RTD on July 24th. I had requested "expedited RTD requested" under the subject of the cover letter along with all the documents mailed.

I was surprised to have it approved so fast.

In your cases why did you expediate? I am traveling for leisure, what do you recommend i should state as a reason? Basically it's my sister who is paying my way to meet her fiancee and his family... they just got engaged, however I don't intend to travel until may 2008, i am putting in an early application because of concerns of never getting the RP any advice is greatly appreciated

I think it's getting tougher. Iam having a hard time getting one, even though I had my local office send an email request (see my post), but then again dealing with INS is like trying to predict a woman's mood (no disprespect to our lovely ladies:D). All you can do is try! Send any supporting documents (i.e. airline tkt, doctor's note, wedding invitation, etc) along with a brief and polite explanation.
 
bring delight i am discouraged just because i have been in the US for almost 14years (long story) never gone outside... this is one time i would really like to get out and visit my sister... thanks for the response :-)

i got expedited RP in the summer in 2 weeks, i filed the application and i wrote a letter with it stating that my wife just gave a birth and i need to go to japan in august to attend religious cermony for my baby, all i did is send the copy of my baby birth certificate with application,


honestly, i never thought i was going to get THE RP VERY fast, i guess i was very lucky, a simple letter and a birth cerificate made huge difference,


my advice to you , write a lettertell the immigration you need expedited TD
FOR emergency medical trip, one of your family member is sick, let your sister
fax you a letter from her doctor , it may works

the whole thing depends on the officer, its a gamble and you may win
 
Is the virginia senator Allen & Warner still helping people on expedite RP?
I can't find their web site. I tried senator barbara boxer, but no replied until now. please help
