Hi guys,
I received an e mail teling me that the welcome notice has been mailed ..this was on 6/19/07. I have not received it in the mail yet and I will be moving tomorrow. Unfortunately I had already requested for mail forwarding service 10 days ago and they will start forwarding my mail from tomorrow or the day after. I didnt know at that time that USCIS mails are not forwarded... Can anyone advise on what I should do ? I am moving from NY to Wisconsin.

Does the welcome notice/kit also contain the green card ?

Is there anyway I can change or cancel my forward service with the USPS ?

Would greatly appreciate any advice.

----------------- Card may go back to service center if you are not staying at that address.

-----------first you get welcome notice then after 4-6 weeks you get Card. you can check online status It will change card ordered to Card mailed or Card sent

---talk to USPS visiting your Local Post office and talk to postmaster to solve the problem if he/she can ( also talk about mail Holding) also talk to post man who deliver the mail in your apartment, they keep returning USCIS mail once the form for mail forwarding address is entred in data.
Would greatly appreciate any advice.

You can try the Premier forwarding service of USPS

You can try the Premier forwarding service of USPS, I think it is like $11 or $15 per week and they will forward ALL the mail ( including the mail from USCIS);
PS: One of my friend has done this after getting the confirmation from the USPS PO CS.

Good Luck.
