My case briefly: came to the US with B1/B2.. in 3 monhts got married USC.. in 4 months after marriage got my conditional green card. Now it's 6 months as I'm permanent resident.. and my husband wants to divorce. So, I need legal help with this divorce/annulment and then with removal of conditionas.
I need to fing lawyer tomorrow!!! not later...

p.s. does it matter if it is divorce or annulment? does it matter who files me or my husband?
 
Sorry to hear that. Your immigration case should not be of concern right now.

Get a divorce lawyer. Check the yellow pages.

I do not think you can get an annulment by now. It has been too long since you two got married.

For the immigration part, you can remove the conditions of your residency by yourself.
 
your husband is going to file for annulment... that sounds funny, since the point is for him to not be your husband anymore...

But you got married and filed for AOS right away? took only 4 months? did you get married to get a GC?

most of the people file for AOS right after marriage.. i dont see anything strange in it.. we filed in a month after marriage.. so it took 3 months to get a green card.

That in and of itself is not grounds for annulment. I would also be curious as to the immigration consequences of this course of action, since it legally means that the marriage never occurred.

Is he claiming fraud, or lack of consumation?
