I was laid off by comany A with an approved LC and approved I-140. I485 has not been filed because of the regression. I switched to company B with similar job and similar pay. Company A promised to continue to sponsor my green card when the time comes. I hear that as long as they provide a statement saying there is still a job offer standing for me after I get my green card although at the time filing I-485 I am stilling working at company B. is that possible to get my I-485 approved?

many thanks for your advice,

GC is for future permanent job. one can be working with A and LC , I-140 can be filed by B and then person file the I-485 based on approved I-140.
once your PD is current YOU can file I-485 with copy of I-140 approval notice . you need employer A job offer letter that you send with I-485. I-485 , I-765, I-131 are YOUR petitions you can file directly or through A company Lawyer or through YOUR lawyer

I am in exactly the same situation. My lawyer told me yesterday once My PD becomes current, just go ahead and file for i-485. Once my petition is pening for more than 180 days (which is most likely) just take a letter from employer # 2 with me to the interview and I should be ok.
Good luck to you!

------------- if no Interview or file is not transfred to local office for Interview then send new employer job offer letter to invoke AC21. why do you think that you will have Interview??
Good luck to you!

What if previous employer has already informed USCIS that , I am no more with them, can they still apply for I-485 from prior employer upon getting future emplyement letter and work for current employer ? and hope that it would take more than 180 days and hence i don't have to work for prior employer again ?
