To make long story short. I was filed as dependent with my wife as primary under Schedule A category. Our interviews were done in local office in Oct-06. My wife's(primary) case was approved. She received card in another 2 months after approval. Officer told me my name check was pending then so she couldn't approve.
I made an InfoPass appt in beginning of March-07. I learned that my name check is cleared but
From Nov-06, Schedule A went into retrogression and now to make it worse, it's combined with EB3. That being said, it going to be a long wait for me unless congress passes Schedule A bill and take Nurses & PTs out of quota but that would be a miracle.
Is there a way I can fight for this and claim that visa date was current on the day of my interview but name check was pending wasn't my fault and they should grant me a visa number based on that instead of waiting for another 3-4 (or who knows how many more) years, since nothing else is pending on my application now?
do you think writing to senetor, congressman would help? Total GC has been so painful process.
Please advise.
