Non Profit Org can offer any job to you, but question is whether the offered job qulifies for h1B visa.
If the non profit offers fund raising sales person job, which may not qulaify for H1.
All h1 visa requires a Bachelors (relavent) degree from an University.

What kind of jobs can be offered on an H1b visa from a Non-Profit organization?
Does it have to be IT related? can it something like an events coordinator? How about degree requirements?
I can't find any such info!

I got a job offer from a Public school as teacher and when i approached attorney he asked me whether that school is affliated to any Universiy cos Public schools affliated to some university will only come under Non Profit Organisations,is that true? and how do i know about that.Also as schools start from second week of august, when will the start date be on h1 is it oct 1? then can you tell me is there any provision for the start date being the date the schools reopen? pls its urgent can you reply as early as possible.
