H4 to H1 & 7th yr extension

Hi

I have recently(1 week back) applied for my H1 7th year extension, along with my wife's 7th year H4 extension.

One of the companies is offering my wife a job.
Since new H1 filing is starting on April '07, what is a good and safe option :-

1. Apply for her H4 to H1 extension, simultaneously when her H4 extension
has been filed a week back. Is it even possible to do this ?
Pros - She does not have to go to India for stamping.
2. Get a new/fresh H1.
Cons - She will have to go back to India for stamping.

My Wife's H1 has been applied thru' premium processing. The lawyer is saying that since premium processing takes 15 days, you will have to wait till the time the H4 extension is granted.
