Biometrics for children required?

Hi Vin_GC,
We got our photo (biometrics) and finger printing done. But we did not get any notice for our kid. Not sure whether INS will send a separete notice later .
Please let us know if you already know anything about it.

"Immediately before approval" : how long would it be between child biometrics and approval ? My 7-yr child took biometrics on March 03 and so far no approval yet. Any idea ? My I-485 RD is 27 Oct 2006 at NSC.

Yes, every child will get a notice sometime (MOSTLY) immediately befor approval. Just one finger only, do not worry.

As I said MOSTLY, but nothing 100% sure with immigration.

They are sending letters at random... there are people in this forum including me where children had finger printing but stuck in name check.... sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.....

Yes, because of that I said mostly. I know personally three families got their approval within days after their children FP, but this site for sure has many people posting, so it is more indicative.
