pasam,
Did you process I140 thru premium processing?
And I don't think you're entering a tunnel now - Now that you've an approved 140, the PD goes with you. So you can join another company and use the old PD. You'd have to do PERM with the new company though. All the best!

Is this true? So, what you are saying is:

If I get my labor and I-140 approved, I can leave the employer and join another one, do a perm by retaining the old priority date and thereby I-140, I-485?

I never knew you can retain your old PD if you switch employers.

I-140 should not be revoked

Only one condition, your old employer must be nice to you and not to revoke I140 which was approved (it is not unreal, he can expect your return later). In this case you retain PD. But if it is revoked PD can not be retained.

I-140 Approved

Folks,

This is my first post in this forum as I recently got my I-140 filed. Here is the status. The application was filed in Premium Processing.

I-140 :

Applied : 09/05/2006
Approved : 09/06/2006

Came to know about the approval today from the following link
https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do;jsessionid=aRKuVjlzNl39

As I am from India and belong to EB3 category, the only joy I have is that I can get the 3-year H1. This is a gift as I am in my 7th year extension.

I will post more details(if I have any) once I receive the documentation that my attorney/USCIS sends.

Good Luck everybody!!!

Hi,

My attorney sent an email with the Case Receipt # and date of acceptance by NSC.
Here are the details

Receipt Number: LIN06256XXXXX
Date Received: 09/05/2006

When I checked the status on 09/08/2006, it showed that it was approved on 09/06/2006. Haven't received anything yet in the mail and not sure whether I will receive anything from USCIS.

I am not sure when the attorney mailed the application to NSC.
