Hi All,

Can anyone please explain to me what is RD and ND? What is the difference between the two, and how do you find this out if you have a LIN # number for your case. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Can 97755 and swann post the first few numbers of their LIN?
It will help us track our cases better.
I have a peculiar problem with respect to LIN.
My I-140 was filed with the wrong fee and I got a LIN with the initial application. The case status said that the application was returned due to error. Then the lawyer filed once again with the new fee, and they received a new LIN #. When I type in the second number in the case status web page, I get an error message saying that this number cannot be found. Once again, out of frustration I type in the first number, I am getting that my
application was received on Jan 27. So I am assuming that the first number is what I should track for my case. If anyone has a
similar situation please share your experience in the forum. The status page says that it is taking anywhere between 210-240 days for I-140 approval whereas we are seeing approvals within
sixty days. Any reason why this discrepancy?

My details are as follows:

EB3/RIR Non concurrent.
LIN# 03 - 091 - 5XXXX
Received date: 01/27/2003

I 140 issues

Well to be frank the message they put that is it takes so much of days and all that crap is just for them to say keep your mouth shut for those many days and not bug them by calling them ?, usually the RD and the ND should be the same The ND is what you should count upon, don't bother about the RD, it is taking more that 3 months for EB3 casses, for EB2 it is taking a bit less time from what i have been watching, i am also in the same case as yours EB3 i applied for 140 during December and i have a ND of Dec 03 but i haven't heard of approval still yet so hang'in tight for another 2 months before you start checking your status

Hope this helps
