Applicants with FP done and I-140 Pending.....

FP Notice

Hi,

I recieved my FP notice on 04/16, haven't recieved my wife's though.

But I recieved my FP notice from Vermont. I filed my 1140/1485 from Nebraska on 09/30 (I moved from Chicago to East cost in Aug). Recieved EAD's and AP's on 11/15 from Nebraska.

In course of waiting for I140 update, I got my FP notice from Vermont. This gives me an impression they might have moved my case to Vermont (may be only I485 application or may be both I140&I485). At least now I know, they opened by my application :) .

Hi all,

Today I created my customer portfolio with USCIS website and when I checked my I-140, I-485 and my wife's I-485 cases, I found that the last updated date for those cases are April 14, 2004. I was wondering what was the activity on my I-485 cases on April 14, 2004. The online status still says Received on Sept 24, 2003 .......

Just now I read the actual memo and it is written as "If a concurrently filed I-140 requires an RFE, then I-485 should be reviewed as well. If the I-485 requires an RFE, then seperate RFE should be issued". I guess this is the reason why my I-485 cases have last updated date as April 14, 2004.

Just for your information guys. you may try this.

Caution: Just check your own cases only. Don't try to check others case, without their permission.

I hope when they sent the RFE for I140, they will hold the 485 also, that's the reason the 485 was updated.

Thanks,

Was the website updated of the transfer ? My case is also same. Received FP from Vermont. I think that is because of the residence being on East coast.

Doubt the veracity of the breaking news about 90 day processing period

Though this news is very good news, I have not seen it published on any other website. Even if it were true, I think this might apply to only CSC or maybe TSC. I think NSC might go for this eventually, but not right now. Lets accept such good news with caution, lest we get too elated or too disappointed! Sorry to throw such a cold water from Minneapolis

Was the website updated of the transfer ?
--If you are talking about online status, no its stil says "Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received ..." etc etc.

My case is also same. Received FP from Vermont. I think that is because of the residence being on East coast.
--You are right. I think so too..same with my case. My residence is in East coast.

Re: FP Notice

ABT,

Did you receive EAD/AP for your wife ? In my case, CIS took more than 5 months to approve my wife EAD/AP cases and my case got approved within 2 months.

Just curious to know whether they're sending FP after EAD/AP approval.

FP received

Today I created my portfolio. My I -140 ND is June 9th 2003.
Received RFE and INS received the response on Dec -19 2003. No decision yet.

My portfolio shows the last I -140 update on 24-Dec-2003
and for I -485/EAD/AP update was on 10/20/2003. During this time they mailed an I -140 RFE.

I -485/EAD/AP RD is July 16th 2003

Not receiced EAD yet????

Myself and my wife receiced FP from Vermont 04/16/2004 and FP date is 05/07/2004.

Shall I take this as postive regarding the I -140 or just the FP is unrelated thing?.

INS got the RFE for I -140 why can't they send a decision?. I also called the service center during last week of March and same routine reply wait for 30 days.

Any inputs gurus.

I received my finger prints today. The date scheduled is May 14th, 2004. My I485/I140 RD is Aug 14, 2004. I 140 approved Mar 3, 2004.

since fp is valid only for 15 months, I am thinking if it is ok to delay my fp for 2 more months. Do you guys think it is ok? Does delaying fp delay 485 processing in any way. Because, my 485 is a long way to go and they wont be processing any time sooner.

FP received from TSC instead of NSC

Today myself and my wife receiced FP notices from TSC(FP:RD:04/13/2004) instead of NSC(may be since i am living in FL, though my employer is based in Chicago?) and both FP dates are 05/14/2004.

Here are my details:

I-140/I -485/EAD/AP EB3/RIR (LIN-04-075-5XXXX)
RD:01/20/04
ND:01/22/04

EAD/AP --> AD:03/18/04 & 03/23/04
I-140 --> W
I-485 ---> W

Should I take this as postive regarding the I -140 or just the FP is an unrelated thing considering the I-485 current trend of long way process?.

Any inputs from gurus like Ginnu/Naanshi are much appreciated.

Thanks,
kvrp

naanshi,

I have 2 questions.

1)
I got FP on 04/13. I was asked to get them done at INS Memphis. Memphis falls under INS - Texas. But, my I-140/I-485 was filed at Nebraska.

Is my case has been transferred to INS Texas and that I should submit future applications to INS-Texas?

I hope not. INS-Texas is notorious for its slow processing.

2)
What is the significance of District Offices? For example, INS-Memphis. Apart from taking Finger Prints do they also process our 485 applications?

By the way, I have RFE from Nebreska on my I-140.

bim

still your cases will sit in NSC.......

I believe you living in Mempish INS District So, FP usually comes from local INS.....

Thanks

Not a good Idea to delay the fp. if you are lucky they might process I485 quickly otherwise its OK. if you delay FP, you are delaying the processing your self.

****
INS district office's donot process 485 applications but the service centers might transfer the case to district offices, if they want to interview the applicant. in this case the district office can take the decision (Approval/Deniel) on the case
