    Thats right. You just have to be in canada for 2 years for the five year period after you land. But what about the citizenship?? Do you have to stay 3 years to get citizenship??

    Hi anonymous12, when did you land in canada. I don't think you have to pay the tax, if you have landed, lets say, in the much later part of the 2002 year like december. If you landed in 2003, then there is no question of it. Can somebody correct me. Thanks

    I also think in that way. For example, if you are citizen of india and work in US on H1 visas and if you want to file for permanent residence in Canada then instean of applying in Buffalo you might have to apply New Delhi. Please comment/correct it.

    hey mrp2612, you mentioned in this thread that you recieve I-94 when you were coming back to US. Did you fly from US to canada and did stayed in canada for more than 1 month. I think they are not taking I-94 when you land and come back within 1 month. Please let us know regarding this. Thanks.

    canus_immi samething with us also. we haven't received the PR card yet. Its almost a month after the landing. Please let me know once you get your PR card. The 1-800 number for PR card is of no use from US. And I beleive there is no other number where we can call and find it out.
