Today status changed and received an email stating that they have ordered the card.
'On February 23, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you
a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.'

At last the good news is here.
I was approved on 7th July 2004 but my wife and kids approval was pending since then.
Today evening got email for their approval after 6 months.

Called 1-800 number, they took my A# and LIN#, they are sending Welcome letter, according to them I should get the letter in 30 working days.
My wife and kids are not approved yet. Lady on the phone told me to call after 90 days since still they are processing May 2002 cases and my 485 was...
I have completed 60 days after stamping, I called the 800 number, they asked for A# and they said they will be mailing Welcome Kit>
Any idea what is this welcome kit?

Do not wait for dependents approval, go ahead and get approved.
Remember to get the INS authorization removed from SSN office. I got it done they say it is very important.
I talked to my lawyer regarding my wife and kids case.
She advised me to send a letter to NSC.
I mailed a letter but have'nt received any response yet. I will send a letter again 6 weeks later.

I mailed a letter to the Director at NSC. Where I gave my LIN# and the approval date, stating that mine was approved and my family members are still waiting for approval.
I requested him to look into the matter.
I gave LIN# for my wife and kids too.
Waiting for something to happen...

I would suggest you to do the following:
Give an application for to the local birth and death registrar to give a birth certificate for you wife (in you wife's case it should be Bombay, India).
Since they do not have the birth certificate they will provide Non-availability ceritificate. (...
