It all depends how many new immigrants they have. My procedure took about 15 min and i was free to go. Visitors line went fast and when i got to the officer that takes care of new immigrants i realized i was the only one there.
Make sure that when you contact KCC you give them your full name, CN, and date of birth. Without all this info they cant check your data. If you did not include all of this data then, most likely, they couldnt answer your question.
Hi there! Yep, got here three weeks ago and have green card in my hands already. Life is beautiful ;) currently working in brokers company. All good. But im sure you know all this! Arent we the same person ? :)
You can give them an address of the place (hotel) where you are going to stay. They will mail it there. I personaly know ppl who did that and they had no problems.
No, you dont have to have somebody in US. This is not a requirement. The only thing you HAVE to have is an address where you wannt your green card to be sent.
Juicee, could you please write what the airport procedure looked like, exactly? Im flying next weekend and im just very curious! How long it took? What did they do?
Thanks a lot!
definitely take your university diploma. that proves your highest level of education. what im suggesting though is taking also something that states you were exchange student in US because they MIGHT ask you about that.
actually true. im a "sis". but yep princedriss - all went good. im supposed to pick up my passport by the end of this week. so no worries!! you'll be fine!
@hernica80, I am from Poland and this is where my interview was.
all went fine and extremely fast. i spent less than an hour in the embassy. my interview was schedule at 8. they let me in at 7.45. after 5 min lady called me to a window to take all my documents and asked me couple of regular questions (she had to fill up a paper). then i was asked to sit down...
Pricnedriss, i had my interview yesterday. All went fine. The lady who was checking documents didnt even want to look at my HS diploma. The only one she wanted was my uni degree. That's not only the prove of you education level but also that you didnt lie in your application.
Had my interview yesterday. All went fine and i spent in the embassy less than an hour. CO wasnt that cool but basically she didnt ask me any question ;) the only question i was asked was about my plans. No additional documents needed. ;)
Nonsense! Without sending ANYTHING to KCC you wont even get to the interview stage! They will think that you don't want to continue or actually even start the process and won't bother with your case.
true. but don't forget that not everyone who wins DV Lottery gets a visa or continues processing. Even on this forum you could see cases where visas for 3/4 ppl family weren't granted.
that's why they are saying that the lowest case number you have, the better for you :)
