A Little Nervous about Upcoming N-400 Interview

Concern # 3: it will probably slide, if you tell them they will deport you. As far as coming back and kick you in the ass - you never know - it might or it might not... I would consult a lawyer and try not to lie... my $0.2 oh yeah - if you do end up covering this - do not apply for...

What to bring at Oath Ceremony

I would have to disagree with this - once you become a Citizen and (let's just assume) you leave US without your US passport and without certificate, once you try to re-enter they WILL let you in, but make sure you have water and money to wait several days at the customs :) If you're a...

What to bring at Oath Ceremony

Sounds to me like some sort of sadomasochism – it is clearly stated on your oath letter what to bring/wear to the ceremony.

Interview Scheduled – no finger printing? _please_ help.

Some of you know my story, briefly – I applied too early and my application was denied, so I re-applied when it was time for me. I have my Interview letter in the mail scheduling me to appear in beginning of August, however, no letters to go get my fingerprints taken. InfoPass lady told me...

Please help: applying CZ with GC residence error

However, to be even more specific -- wait till you're FULLY eligible, then apply showing your _correct_ date, not the one on GC. Done deal. No extra papers needed.

    Interview without fingerprints?

2 hours is normal. As far as second part, I am curious myself, the only thing I can think of is that you were fingerprinted less then 15 months ago and they were able to re-use those f-prints. only my thoughts. i would do infopass.

    Will this affect my citizenship?

my 2 cents Well, from my point of view, company is the one who is in the most trouble… By accepting his money to pay her, they signed their “life” away, not sure, who can blackmail whom… It is in best companies’ interest not to disclose this (please note) fraudulent activity to any...

    Re-filing N-400 – need help.

Thanks Suzy! Do I need to send 2 checks - one for FBI, one for CIS or one check in the amount of $400 to Homeland Security? Also, if I traveled for 14 days during 5 year GC period, do I need to wait extra 14 days before applying or it shouldn't really matter? tnx!

    Re-filing N-400 – need help.

Many of you have seen my “early N-400 due to error on GC post”, now I am about to re-file in the next couple of days, having a question about fees. Since FBI had me fingerprinted less then 15 months ago, do I need to include $70 for their service or simply $330 for USCIS services? If I need to...

    Fingerprints for 2nd time

Alright, here is the questions to you immigration gurus… It is a known fact that when filing N-400 for second time within 15 months period, FP’ing is not needed. Does that mean that CIS won’t send any FP letters or they still will, basically I guess, what I am looking for is to re-file, but...

Good Immigration Attorney – Bad Immigration Attorney.

Speaking of lawyers, I would like to see this topic in “sticky” where everyone can share info on good attorneys. I had 1 ONE good attorney through out all of my struggles of getting GC and later citizenship, it was back when I lived in Cali. Here in tri state I was not able to find a good...

Error on GC leading to denial?

Ok, here is the update – just got a denial letter 1 day after the interview stating that I do not satisfy residency requirements. Funny part is that CIS apologizes for the error they made on my GC and with new date of March 8 when I am eligible to re-apply. :D Have to wait until Wednesday...

Error on GC leading to denial?

To clarify some point those are mentioned here: 1) Under NO circumstances I intended to lie, according to my GC I was a resident for 5 years, I called CIS tall free number to confirm – their computer showed 2000, I schedule an appointment with INS – officer told me to apply, so I did. 2)...
