Don't worry-thats normal. I had a similar experience early this year with me getting LUDs etc. while my wife's status not showing any LUDs after our cases got transferred to NBC. We both got interview letters (hard copy in the mail) a month after our cases were transferred to NBC...
I would talk to an attorney rather than waiting. The way you've put them, some of these are fairly complicated issues (especially the issue of misspelled name on I-485 and the train of it that goes back to birth certificate and affidavit) to get a definitive answer in the forum.
Just the cover letter. It was signed by Chief Scientific Officer at my company. This makes a better impact if somone else talks about you rather than a personal statement.
Do a solid job of writing the cover letter-that can make all the difference. IOs have 15 or less minutes to read your application and having a nice and thorough cover letter makes it easier for them to make a decision. Most often they arrive at decision just from the cover letter and rarely look...
That's strange-never heard of that. Like for non-immigrants, they take away I94, US Citizens have their passposrt swiped and same for GC holders when leaving country. Infact, US passport has the similar code pattern as is on GC or a non-immigrant visa. CBP needs to have some kind of exit record...
Courier and mailing do the same job-delivering a package, letter etc. from one point to another.
Second, do your own research. I am not your press secretary collecting references for you.
Sending Green Cards by mail outside the country is ILLEGAL. You have already committed a felony by getting GC mailed out of country. This can have serious repurcussions. I am surprised you never consulted with an attorney on this issue and are going by your own rules.
Your best bet, as...
Does anyone has exprience at a POE and entry into US after getting a GC. I
know all you need is your PP and GC at POE but are you also fingerprinted (just like for non-immigrants) at POE?
Thanks
Congrats Chaukka on becoming green.
I wouldn't worry about I-140 not being updated. You'll see couple of more LUDs in coming days (I did after my GC got approved) on your I-485 (generally internal USCIS updates as well as updates about welcome notice/approval notice sent etc.). I am guessing...
I have been a reader of this thread for more than a year now. Finally, its my turn to say GREEN :D
Thanks to all for their support. And best wishes to all waiting for their approval. Its a matter of time-be patient and don't forget to enjoy everyday of the life. In the end, things will fall...
These interviews are fairly routine. They will most likely check your current employment status, the ability of employer to pay etc. Do a search about these interviews on trackitt.com. There's an entire section dedicated to transfer to National Benefits Center which results in interview at local...

My signature below has all the info. Incidentally, they transferred both mine as well as my wife (she is derivative) together on the same day (Feb 11). if you go by timeline at NSC, they are actually processing I-485 of the receipt date similar to ours. We have called NSC last month to...
