U.S. Military Will Offer Path to Citizenship

Conditional citizenship Revocable citizenship?? Oh my. Would it be the first legal precedent of this nature? Give poor young desperate [former] students citizenship in just 6 months after enlisting, and see what's going to happen in the next four years of active duty. Something will...

What are you watching? Hey, Dull in Dallas, what is lud for N400? Mine is still December 2006, and online status still says that my case received and pending...

Congrats!! Cregan, so happy for you! You should be done soon. Looks like CIS messed up your name(s), couldn't figure out which file matches your N400, and has decided to do nothing indefinitely, as their regular processing policy goes. That explains last minute interview cancellation...

    Chicago IL - N-400 Timeline

January interview experience A friend of mine [whose PD is December 2006, by the way] had an interview early January, and received his OL right on spot for the following day. In other words, interview on Monday followed by an oath on Wednesday. IO even apologized for the short notice :D.

What do I need to do?

Apply for a new passport based on your expired one. Also, I'd consider filing N-600 to obtain your own Natz certificate, if fee doesn't look too high, and your parents can provide suporting docs. Would you mind to share? In your young (and bright) adult life of 21-years old, were you asked...

Better than nothing Dull in Dallas, check out calibull's story http://forums.immigration.com/showpost.php?p=2004163&postcount=16853 and number of FPs he went through. Did your lawyer file intend to sue TSC?

How late is too late?. Now It is Panic time...

Life in the slow lane Nina1980, as others have said, you're fine. The most important, try not to get any new tickets before your interview and, preferably, until oath! These are the real bummers - not enough time to take care of them to present to CIS.

    plz help oath letter....

You'll be fine tol123, At my oath in federal court in Chicago it was stressed by IO, that we were to check the spelling of every single word on our Natz cert right after receiving it, and let them know immediately if anything was incorrect. In this case CIS corrects the typo free of...

CITIZENSHIP INTERVIEW GOT CANCELLED - Hartford, CT

Infopass namitanamburi, why don't you schedule Infopass appointment and ask IO about the status of your case? Ask specifically about your name check, whether it was cleared and when. Also ask where is your file currently located. And what piece of information is still missing in their...

    Loosing my mind

Just keep going, you'll be fine No, absolutely not! Just follow your plan, and you'll get your citizenship too. You'll feel so much better about the whole ordeal, because it wasn't easy, but you made it anyway. Is life fair? I wish! It's not. Ask me how I know (tip: review my signature)...

cregan, I suggest don't delay filing your WOM till January. It's your decision, of course, but I haven't seen a single successful case filing that Intent to Sue, or Notice of Action, whatever the official name is. CIS shamelessly ignores that kind of non-binding action. Probably simply...

File WOM cregan, the most likely reason is CIS's internal problem, such as lost file. It's 100% their fault, and they'll have nothing to say to the judge to explain their year-long failure to act on your application. So they'll adjudicate it with lightning speed. Don't hesitate, they...
